ReEmerge extends DBS into chronic cognitive impairment, a space historically addressed through rehabilitation and compensation rather than circuit-level intervention, targeting the central thalamus on the premise that damaged networks remain viable years after injury. Founding involvement from Nicholas Schiff and Jaimie Henderson, Cornell-licensed IP, and Nature Medicine feasibility data give the $37M Series A an unusually mature scientific foundation for a company just out of stealth.

ReEmerge exited stealth with an oversubscribed $37M Series A to develop Cognitive Network Restoration Therapy, a deep brain stimulation approach for chronic cognitive impairment. The therapy targets the central lateral thalamus to reactivate underused neural circuits involved in attention, arousal, and executive function. ReEmerge will initially target traumatic brain injury, with a 40-patient multicenter trial planned.
