NeuroHarmonics is a UCL spinout targeting deep brain structures with wearable, mask-free focused ultrasound, pitching itself as a route to DBS-level precision without surgery or implants, similar in ambition to Insightec's incisionless approach but aimed at continuous, at-home therapy rather than single-session procedures. Founding team expertise in ultrasound engineering (rather than pure neuroscience) reflects the core technical bet: making transcranial ultrasound targeting accurate and scalable enough for outpatient use, with first-in-human validation already underway.

NeuroHarmonics revealed the first public details of the neuromodulation platform it has been developing. The team develops a device that uses transcranial ultrasound to reach deep brain circuits without surgery. The London company, a spin-out of University College London, positions the system on accessibility, requiring no hair preparation, no mask, and no scanner, in contrast to the setup focused ultrasound normally demands. Focused ultrasound can target millimeter-scale regions in the deeper structures that surface stimulation cannot reach.
