Sharper Sense was named one of four recipients of New York's Empire State Development Innovation Matching Grants, which distributed $400,000 across the cohort. The NYC company builds a non-invasive single-use patch, worn on the neck, stimulating the vagus nerve. The patch is meant to enhance sensory processing, sharpening hearing, vision, and touch. Sharper Sense is exploring high-stakes fields, including military and aviation. Founder Charles Rodenkirch told Neurofounders that its technology could eventually be used for any context where someone currently would benefit from stimulants.
