IDUN Technologies is a Zurich-based neurotechnology company developing in-ear EEG platforms for real-world brain sensing. Its systems combine neural data capture, motion sensing, audio, and developer tools to support applications in performance, recovery, neuroadaptive experiences, and next-generation wearable health products.
IDUN Technologies has announced the presale launch of IDUN Guardian 4, its next-generation in-ear EEG platform designed to bring high-quality brain sensing out of the lab and into scalable, real-world applications.
As wearable technology evolves beyond heart rate, HRV, and motion tracking, brain data is emerging as one of the next frontiers in human performance, recovery, and human-machine interaction. Guardian 4 is built to accelerate that shift.
IDUN’s earlier generation, Guardian G3, demonstrated that research-grade EEG could be reliably captured from inside the ear, even during everyday activity. Partners used the device to explore use cases including cognitive workload monitoring, sleep and recovery tracking, neuroadaptive audio experiences, brain-computer interface prototypes, and real-time neurofeedback.
With Guardian 4, IDUN transitions from research validation to platform scalability.
Rather than iterating incrementally, Guardian 4 was engineered as a foundation for higher production volumes, broader integration capabilities, and long-term ecosystem expansion. The platform is built on industry-leading components, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S7 for on-device processing and Analog Devices’ precision signal technologies for high-fidelity neural data acquisition.
By integrating advanced edge AI processing and high-performance analog front-end architecture, Guardian 4 enables real-time neural inference, audio synchronization, and motion-aware signal modeling within a compact, wearable form factor.
IDUN is working closely with ecosystem partners including Qualcomm and Analog Devices to ensure Guardian 4 meets the performance, scalability, and reliability standards required for next-generation neuroadaptive and brain-enabled products.
The device combines in-ear EEG with access to raw brain data, motion sensing, and audio in a single wearable. It also includes SDKs and APIs for rapid prototyping and integration, real-time brain insights capabilities, and a form factor designed for extended, everyday wear.
The result is a developer-ready platform that reduces the friction traditionally associated with EEG hardware and accelerates time to validation for brain-enabled products.
Guardian 4 positions brain sensing alongside other established wearable biometrics, but with a critical shift from passive measurement to real-time interaction.
At CES 2026, where Guardian 4 was officially unveiled, IDUN demonstrated on-device jaw clench detection running fully at the edge using the Snapdragon S7 platform. The demo showcased real-time neural inference without cloud dependency, highlighting the system’s ability to translate brain-derived signals into immediate, responsive actions.
The company also introduced its CIP, or Cognitive Interface Platform, concept, a framework for building closed-loop applications in which EEG-derived brain states dynamically influence audio, digital environments, or external systems in real time.
Potential applications include cognitive performance and focus optimization, neuroadaptive fitness and training systems, sleep and recovery platforms, immersive audio and AR/VR, and advanced human-machine interfaces.
As consumers, athletes, and creators seek deeper insights into mental performance, not just physical output, neural data may become a defining signal layer in next-generation devices. Guardian 4 is designed to make that transition technically feasible, scalable, and developer-ready.
Following the Guardian 4 launch, IDUN Technologies is raising capital in 2026 to scale production, expand commercial partnerships, and accelerate development of its next-generation wireless platform.
The company’s vision is to make brain sensing infrastructure accessible to product teams in the same way GPS and heart-rate sensors became foundational to modern wearables.
Guardian 4 presale access is now open to developers, research institutions, and innovation teams.
