Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a seed-stage program for massively scalable, science-based companies. It was founded at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto in 2012 and has since expanded to over 20 sites globally. CDL is not a traditional VC, it provides no upfront capital but instead offers mentorship from successful entrepreneurs, scientists, and investors, access to structured objective-setting sessions, and connections to equity investors who can fund companies post-CDL.

CDL has an explicit Health stream and a dedicated CDL Neuro stream focused on neurotechnology and brain health, supporting companies in BCI, neurostimulation, neuroimaging, and neurological therapeutics. CDL Neuro alumni have gone on to raise significant venture funding.
